A big Fishers event that takes place every year in Fishers, Indiana and draws folks from miles around is the Fishers Freedom Festival. This celebration of independence has been going strong in this Indianapolis suburb for more than two decades. The festival stretches across a two-day weekend in summer, includes activities that rival any Indianapolis festival, and is held at the beautiful Roy Holland Memorial Park, one of the best parks in the Fishers parks system.

Another perennial crowd-pleaser occurs in summer as well. The Fishers Summer Concert Series, which convenes on the well-maintained lawn in front of downtown Fishers‘ Town Hall, offers live Indianapolis music from assorted Indianapolis bands every Tuesday night from 7 pm to 9 pm out under the stars. Fishers events can be just as entertaining as anything you’d find in Indianapolis.
