Arts and Culture in Fishers, Indiana

Various venues for artistic expression exist throughout the town of Fishers, Indiana, though the lights of the big city always beckon from nearby Indianapolis. One of the most popular and widest-ranging places is The Artists’ Studio. This is a true center for Indianapolis performing arts and attracts creative souls like a magnet.

The Fishers Chamber Orchestra also does its share of attracting lovers of the arts, presenting concerts at different locales all around Fishers, including the Fishers Freedom Festival. The Fishers Chamber Orchestra is a fine example of the great dedication to Fishers music this small town’s residents have.

Greater Indianapolis art galleries abound, and nearby Noblesville, just five miles due north, houses the Anthony J. Padgett Gallery as well. Carmel, Indiana, only another five miles due west, is the site for the Evan Lurie Gallery, Art and Soul and many other centers for beauty and the arts. One notable artist in Fishers is J.D. Nolan, who creates traditional photographs in the style of Ansel Adams.

There are several Indianapolis dance schools in Fishers that teach almost every variety of dance, from ballet to hip-hop, such as the Academy of Dance Arts, and an Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Then there’s the G. Scotten Talent Center, a center for all the performing arts for toddlers through adults. Fishers, Indiana is a clearly a town in which the arts can thrive.
