Fishers, Indiana is a prosperous suburb of Indiana state capital Indianapolis, a growing, vibrant area that has its own breed of Fishers art, Fishers attractions and Fishers things to do. Though Fishers is more inclined to attract an older crowd of residents, families who want to take advantage of the many benefits offered to Fishers children, there are still many younger residents in the city. And in any town where there’s a strong youth presence, there will probably be a strong music scene: Fishers music is no exception.

Probably the biggest organization of Fishers music is the Fishers Chamber Orchestra, this suburb’s equivalent of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra or the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. The Fishers Chamber Orchestra began life in 2005 and has been growing exponentially ever since. This Fishers music organization performs at many different Fishers attractions and Fishers events; the orchestra has played at Conner Prairie, the Fishers Freedom Festival, and many times during the Fishers Summer Concert Series. The Fishers Chamber Orchestra can stand toe to toe with any other Indianapolis musical organization.

The “home of fine guitars,” Reno’s Music deals in electric guitars, acoustic guitars, mandolins, banjos, violins, and more. Butler Music Resources (not affiliated with Butler University) is the business that provides Fishers schools with their marching band equipment, including uniforms, accessories, and drums.
There are also a few academies in the Fishers music scene, including the Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy, a music school founded by Seoul native and Indiana University graduate Ji-Eun Lee that offers lessons in piano, cello, voice, electric bass, and more, and Andy’s Music Box School of Music, an extension of Andy Garcia Sounds LLC that offers both private and group lessons.
