Frosty Paws 4K: First Annual Fishers Dog Walk/Run

Looking for a fun, new race in central Indiana? The Frosty Paws 4K is a brand new walk/run event in Fishers, Indiana featuring our favorite four-legged friends. The run/walk will take place on Saturday, March 1st. Runners and walkers are encouraged to bring your dog to the race to accompany you and your family.

Our white shepherd loves to run. She will often accompany my husband or me on our 5K training, so it’s awesome to find a local race where she can be a part of the festivities. Even if your dog (or you) is not a runner, this is a non-timed event you can walk just for the fun experience. Yeti would be piddle-puppy excited to run or walk with us. She just likes to be included, especially when it means a short break from the cats.

Fishers Frosty Paws 4KRegistration is $30 in advance or $35 on the day of the race. The 4K course begins and ends at Witten Park at Saxony in Fishers, including a 1-mile shortcut for dogs (or humans) who may be unable to complete the full race. The event will also feature pet-related booths and activities to enjoy with your furry friend. The race organizers are also working on a sponsor to provide race bandannas for all dog participants.

Human registrants will receive a t-shirt, personalized race-bib, and a “dog-tag” medal. Plus, the knowledge that your registration fee will help dogs and rescue centers in the Fishers area. The goal is to raise awareness and funds for several local rescues, including Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue, All About Dogs Rescue and Almost Home Schnauzer Rescue.
