Holland Park is Central for Fun

Holland Park is the town of Fishers oldest park, and it remains one of its most popular. Located just north of 116th Street in the center of town, it’s within walking distance for many residents. The community building has been renovated recently, with the addition of upgraded restrooms and family restrooms. The park building hosts a variety of programs, and it’s also available for private events. Holland Park is home to the annual Fishers Freedom Festival, which held on the last weekend in June. It’s also home to Monsoon Madness, a one-day splash fest for kids 12 and under.holland_park_building

Holland Park is home to baseball diamonds, soccer fields, sand volleyball courts, and basketball courts. There are walking paths, including a path that runs the entire perimeter of the park. In the center, there are two playgrounds. The main playground is for children three and over, and includes high slides, swings, monkey bars and more. Kids can play for hours on this massive structure. While it’s not labelled ADA accessible, ramps make it easy to access most of the playground. Across the way  is a separate toddler playground, which caters to the three and under crowd. The climbing structures are low to the ground, and the slides are more toddler size. Baby swings and toddler swings round out this play area. Between the two playgrounds is a shaded picnic shelter, perfect for birthday parties or family reunions. In addition to the tables in the picnic shelter, there are also picnic tables near the baseball diamonds and basketball court. While most of the park is wide open, the area around the picnic shelter is well-shaded with mature trees.
